I've been writing poetry since the age of 9, but it is not likely that I'll share any of those first poems with just anyone! Even though my back ground is in the liberal arts with a B.A. in philosophy, by career has been in the technology sector. This dichotomy has lead to some synthesis in my poetry, as a number of my poems have been written during the working day. During high school I met a remarkable fellow who inspired me to take my poetry to the next level. He was quite an extraordiary writer who taught English at Auburn University. My friend Barber Bancroft passed away at the young age of 48, having inspired many different people over the years. My photography languished in the doldrums of mediocrity for decades until the advent of digital photography. Some of my recent photographs were included in this my first book. Other artistic endeavors include creating ambient and space music as the band AEGYRE.
