Brian Michael Cassity is a husband, father, musician, and author. Originally from Kentucky, he joined the Navy and spent time in California, Texas, and Hawaii, and eventually settled in Maryland. Brian began writing poetry in high school as part of a poetry club and kept writing after starting a band in college. His poem, "Prospector," was published in the 1997 edition of Western Kentucky University's Zephyrus. His poetry primarily deals with love, lust, life, and faith. Brian's influences and favorite poets are Charles Bukowski, Bono, Langston Hughes, and Carl Sandburg. His first book of poetry was published in 2019.
