Since 1978, Michael Nelson has been a Principal with Nelson and Sixta, a creative services company, offering design, computer imaging, photography, copy writing, new media and broadcast video productions for a very diverse client base. For the past sixteen years they have been specializing in serving the commercial real estate industry. They have also produced promotional events, national sales meetings, award shows and documentaries such as Voices Long Silent, a history of Japanese internment during World War II. Their work has appeared in many theatrical productions such as Mail, a musical originating at the Pasadena Playhouse that traveled to the Kennedy Center and then to Broadway.
Michael Nelson holds a Masters Degree in Painting from Western Illinois University, where he was a Graduate Teaching Assistant. He has post-graduate studies at Art Center School of Design and UCLA, as well as graduate independent studies with Garry Winogrand, Eileen Cowin and Kenda North.
