The origins of thong underwear may be followed returning to medieval times, with assorted countries taking on versions from the garment for practical and ceremonial reasons. Very early these include the loincloths donned by historic Egyptians and Greeks. Even so, the present day thong as we know it started to get design within the twentieth century.
