Emily Shearer was born in Hendersonville, NC, graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1993 and lives in Houston, TX with her husband, three children, one dog, and varying numbers of fish. She would some day like to go to Costa Rica, take up rock climbing, and learn to make Southern Fried Chicken.
