Volunteer Marine Rescue (VMR) Whitsunday is a non-profit volunteer organisation based in Central Queensland, Australia. Our primary purpose is to ensure that the boating public can enjoy the beautiful waters in the Whitsunday area, while remaining safe.

Areas of Expertise

VMR Whitsunday volunteer boat crew provide a `first response’ emergency service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week We also assist Water Police with Search and Rescue and assist Ambulance crews with Medivacs. Volunteer radio operators maintain a vessel monitoring service every weekend and on public holidays.

We are an affiliated squadron of Marine Rescue Queensland.
