About the Book
Finding Home is a children's picture book about a brown lizard who gets lost. She finds herself in an unfamiliar and scary place. About the Creator
My name is Marsha Kaforey. While teaching elementary school students, I observed that children were more likely to choose books from the school library based upon the pictures rather than teacher recommendations or even titles. There was a story I wanted to tell, my story. So, I paired my love of photography along with the animals living in my lawn and near my home on Marco Island. This book, Finding Home, was created as a motivator, a book for the child that is intrigued by lizards and tortoises. The story is a universal one, of searching for and finding one's place in this world. A place we call home.
