About the Book
Who benefits from “Fake News?” Who benefits from misinformation and veiled intentions? Who benefits from portraying false narratives and one-sided accounts of history and facts? No one. No one does in our community.
No Fake News: Volume 1 is the culmination of a ten-week course in fact-finding and research conducted at the Benjamin Franklin Branch Library in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, CA. It is a collection of works created by residents from our community, reflecting their concerns, their experiences, their informed ideas about what actually affects our community.
No Fake News: Volume 1 is a call for justice, reflection, and action on the part of all residents in our community, because we know what is real, what is lived; and we know that it takes more than reading a headline to discover our truth.
