About the Book
In March of 2018, I spent nine days on Safari in Botswana with Roy Toft. This was my third visit to the continent and first time in Botswana. Botswana is the only country in Africa that doesn’t allow hunting. Poachers are allowed to be shot. The country is primarily desert. Waters from the mountains of Angola form the Linyanti River which turns into the Chobe River. Rather than run to the ocean, the river drains in the northern part of the country forming the Okavango Delta. It is an oasis for wildlife. Large populations of elephants inhabit the area. Endangered Wild Dogs are found here. Over 200 species of birds, many migratory, call it home.
