About the Book
This is your invitation to see the nature and wildlife of a very unique area of not only Costa Rica, but the world. These are photographs that I have taken while visiting and now living in this part of the country for the past 10 years. This photo book serves not just as an identification of wildlife but shows how they live. Fiery-Billed Aracaris sharing a papaya, a baby Sloth's first steps away from it's mother, a White-Faced Monkey cracking open a coconut, a Spider Monkey's leap across the canopy, and more. All this is set against a verdant rain forest background complete with spectacular waterfalls. The Pacific Ocean with it's pristine beaches and glowing sunsets acts as a natural border. After viewing the images I am sure you will agree that it is truly a land of Pura Vida.

Lagos, Portugal
I am originally from NYC. where i learned photography from my father in our basement darkroom doing B&W. My photographic interests turned to color photography with subjects including NYC graffiti, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, urban cityscapes, and the changing seasons. Travel led me to photograph many islands of the Caribbean. After living in Costa Rica for 8 years I now reside in Lagos, Portugal.
