About the Book
Fred's Bar and Grill in Evansville, Indiana was a meeting place for locals from all walks of life in the in the city. Starting with lunch until the 3AM closing Fred's was a handy meeting place for workers from the nearby hospital, newspaper, civic center,those that lived in the neighborhood and anybody else.. The thin grilled burgers were acknowledged as some of the best in town. Paired with the Fred's fries "that energize" and a mug of cold beer you still got change from a $10 bill to leave a decent tip. Fred's closed in May of 2017 as part of city plans to revitalize the neighborhood.
