About the Book
interior MOTIVES
Despite the title of this book, it is neither about "interiors" nor "motives" -- certainly not in any literal or intended sense -- although clearly there are concrete and metaphorical references to both. Rather, this is a book about imagination, the poetry of life and illusive memory, prompted by the hard realities of special and shadowy places, people and events, and the shifting light of time -- inside and out. And, while the images here were encountered and captured by one individual with his singular, and often subconcious, reasons, whatever his motives may have been, it is of equal or greater importance that the images evoke, encourage or inspire in each independent viewer a whole new response, reflecting his or her own "interior motives" for the feelings, memories, or stories, real or imagined, each may find in these pages.
