About the Book
Author Tracy Law Ph.D, both an alumna and teacher at The Summit Country Day School, provides historic, architectural and spiritual accounts of The Summit’s beautiful 19th Century Gothic Revival chapel designed by Edward F. Durang, a Philadelphia architect known for ecclesiastical designs. With major photography by Robert A. Flischel, this stunning coffee table book is a lasting legacy for the thousands of people who walked down the central aisle of the chapel on what founding Sister Superior Julia called the “Pompeii Pavementium.” A special preface has been written by Sister Rose Ann Fleming, alumna, former head of The Summit, former president of Trinity College and current Athletic Academic Adviser at Xavier University.
