About the Book
Each year, fifteeen UWCSEA Grade 4 students, accompanied with one parent and a few staff members, visit the Widhya Asih orphanges in Bali on a voluntary school trip over term break. During the year, several fundraisers are held by the UWCSEA community to support the foundation's daily needs, and to provide major improvements to one or more of the orphanages. Recent projects have included the building of a new kitchen and a new water well. This year, in cooperation with local workers, the designated project was to build a pathway from the washclosets to the childrens' bedrooms to promote better hygiene.
