About the Book
On March 20, 2015, a solar eclipse dimmed the cloudless skies over Jökulsárlón, the iceberg-filled lagoon of Iceland. This was just one stop on the Ring Road. The following night, northern lights, sequelae of a massive solar flare, shimmered in the sky in the East of Iceland. The waterfalls of Dettifoss and Kirkjufellsfoss thundered through snow and ice. The black church Búðir stood in stark relief against the white mountains of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Eight days and 2700 kilometers of winter in Iceland.
