About the Ebook
Yuri Dyshlenko is one of the pioneers of Leningrad nonconformist art movement. He created and employed in his painting his own system of color harmony, a system devised to provide painting with a set of principles analogous to those of tonal harmony in music. Dyshlenko proposed a system of pentachords, each chord consisting of five colors that had been selected from color wheel by following a logical set of permutations. A painter who adapts this pentachrom system, he argued, immediately have the precondition for color harmony and coherence.
