Through repetitive interchange and exposure of a single roll of film, Peter Tonningsen and Lisa Levine construct unique collaborative documents of place through a series of layered photographs that represent a kind of visual counterpoint or repartee. Complexly fragmented and often saturated in color, these richly layered images challenge conventional photographic notions of individual authorship, time, and space to give us a novel and imaginative perspective of our contemporary landscape
