In 2011, a brilliant iPhone app reignited Jim Baab’s passion for still photography. It allowed him to quickly be creative and capture the world as he saw it - one square at a time. Food, objects, people and light - not much evaded this man’s pocket media machine.

Eventually, in 2013, two of Jim’s images were chosen for a local gallery’s exhibition. And, in December of that year, one image was awarded 2nd Place in the Food/Beverage category of the Mobile Photography Awards - the international, juried competition that includes a 2014 touring exhibit with fine art prints for sale! (How cool is that?)

This book explores the moments that stood out while traveling, gardening, cooking and living in Somerville, MA, during the dawn of Instagram.
