About the Book
This little book is in Polish (except for an English two-page summary at the beginning). Richly illustrated with archival photos, it tells the tale of my indomitable childhood teacher, Maria Hubisz, who accompanied us though the turbulent times of WWII, from Europe via Japan, China and South Africa to war-time London, then peaceful Canada. She died in Montreal at the age of 102.
