About the Book
From the Introduction:
From January to March of 1988, when I was seventeen years old, I escaped the manacles of high school in North America to live and breathe in Taipei, Taiwan. I brought my beloved camera (a Nikon FM2), a healthy attitude for exploration, and a desire to push the boundaries of what I felt had been deemed “acceptable” for a woman of my age and era. This book reflects some of what I saw during those months, and reveals what interested me at that time in my life.
