About the Book
This photo book is of images of the Chatham and Pitt Islands that are 860 kms east of Christchurch, New Zealand. The Chatham Islands(only 2 of the 10 are habitable) was settled initially by the peaceful Moriori people and from the 19th C Maori and Europeans.
Crayfish, paua and blue cod are the chief exports. Total population of both Islands is around 900.
An 8 day visit was too short. to absorb all the history and culture of the Chatham Islands and undertake all the walks.
