About the Book
Irving Sinclair was one of San Francisco's best known commercial artists from the mid-1920's into the 1960's. He was art director for Fox West Coast Theatres in the 1920's and 30's. In 1934 he was elected into the prestigious Salamagundi Club. While best known for his portraitures, his paintings also ranged from character studies to seascapes to nudes to flowers to bridges and other subjects in between. Irving's paintings were displayed in the City of Paris Department Store windows and in well-known restaurants as well as gracing the walls of many homes.
