A pictorial record of the tapestry designs of artist Penny Burns (1938 - 2010), owner of Peacock Tapestries, created thoughout her life.
Each design takes the form of a small motif, painstakingly painted onto card, before creating the finished tapestry. These motifs were integral to her creative process and form a fascinating archive. They clearly show Penny's love of nature and her habit of allowing careful observation of natural forms to inform all her designs.
