In early 2008, the West Midlands photographer David Rann appealed for volunteers with red hair (of any shade) to come forward to be photographed for a possible exhibition. The response was phenomenal and the resulting MC1R exhibition was heralded by an event which became known as "Gingerfest".



This book contains the images from the project as well as background information about the project and red hair generally.
