About the Book
The voice of a child. We all know there is nothing like it. The profound wisdom they share on a whim. The black and white view of what’s right and wrong or good and bad. And, for better or worse, the straightforward – and sometimes raw – honesty. No matter the socioeconomic background, culture, or academic ability, we can always learn something from the words of a child. Those children and youth in our community who are experiencing homelessness are no different. When we are able to really hear what they say, hearts and minds are opened.
This book emerged as students expressed themselves through writing, art, and interviews during a day-long writers' workshop.
