About the Book
Even seagulls bring their flights here, and their chants mix up with the whistle of the shrouds hit by the winds.
A playground for many wind and watersports lovers, lake Garda is not just a tourist resort, but has a life of its own all year round, as months and years unfold in the many villages scattered along its coasts.
Still, what strikes the most about the lake is the fact that the lake itself, its waters and what surrounds it, is just beautiful and it is very easy to find yourself feeling as one with it all.
I now find myself living on one of its shores. Came here to live more than twenty years after having met the lake for the very first time. Fell in love with it imemdiately and have been one of those who had its waters to cradle his development as a sportsman. More than that I must say, as the years spent here did shape me up as a man as well, I believe.
After all these years, the lake said yes once again, and offered itself to me and my camera, allowing me to discover more of its secrets whilst discovering more of it, and of myself as a photographer.
Quite at times, very vibrant at others, I often think this lake is a real companion, alive and always ready to play innocently with those who approach it with respect. A very reliable friend who finds his ways to tell you what he thinks of the things you might have in your mind right in that moment.
For sure by now a bit of my soul lies in its waters. Being this a lake, I found myself wondering more than once on the presence of a lady of the lake even in these depths. A very romantic thought, I know, but one that reached the surface more than once as I was approaching the lake with my camera in the attempt of capturing the peace this place has within.
And what a place this is.
Hope you like it. The book I mean... ;-)
About the Creator
I decided to take on photography as something more than just a hobby back in 2005. At that time one of my major concerns was to learn photography so to add it to the range of skills I would then use within the self publishing environment, being this either on paper or on line. Awarded in Italy as new talent for fashion and advertising photography in 2009 by TAU VISUAL (Italian Association of Professional Photographers) I naturally turned upon landscapes, architectural and fashion photography right from the beginning, and found particularly challening and engaging mixing up these genres. My interests are now exclusively towards high - end photography, where I either concentrate on self published works or commissioned advertorials, books, calendars, or single images. As I continue to learn and develop my own style and techniques, I am now finally expanding to self publishing, as planned since somebody gave me a camera some seven years ago, and this clicked, along with all the rest.
