About the Creator
My name is Mark Paternostro. I recently graduated from the University of New Orleans in Anthropology with a minor in Spanish. My fields of study would imply that have a lot of love for culture, traveling, and photography and this is true.I also enjoy writing, painting, playing music and more. I also love to bike and enjoy spending time in nature. I plan to publish more books soon. I just published my first book, "Finding Our Way Home: Three Life Stories Set in New Orleans". This is book about three people's lives in New Orleans: my mom's, my grandma's and my own. Each of us has our own trajectory. My mom came to New Orleans from Belize, my grandma has always lived in New Orleans but grew up in a much different time, and I presently continue to have a love-hate relationship with the area. Part personal narrative, part ethnography, part philosophy, this book is about how people learn to call a place their home and the complexities of identity.
