About the Book
I began this project as a way of integrating creativity and image-making into my daily life—a way of staying creative everyday throughout the day as a sort of daily meditation and ritual. Honing my craft and improving my skills, I photographed, sorted, processed, wrote and published an image each day, by midnight, over the span of a year. Using just the camera built into the Apple iPhone, a retro/snapshot image processing app, and the square format, I sought to create a common style in which to experiment photographically.
This book now serves as a record of one year in my life. From watching the tiniest insects occupying their own space to climbing the barren slopes of a nearly 10,000 foot mountain and seeing the view recede into the distance, I hope the reader will be able to tune themselves into the intricacies and joys of the world in which they live, just as I have with mine.
