About the Book
This book captures a project to create 14 unique candle sconces made with translucent wood shades. They are installed in a home on the Maine coast. The book includes 70 photos of the process, beginning with harvesting the logs, the work on the lathe to thin the logs pieces down to 1/10th inch, and the creating the system for mounting the shades on to the existing brass wall-arms. The final section shows the sconces installed and all lit up, filling the rooms with a lovely warm glow.
