About the Book
During the two years I was working as a board member in Santa Fe, New Mexico with The Chijnaya Foundation that operates on the Peruvian Altiplano, I lived and worked for several weeks at a time each year with the local townspeople. I was readying new designs and techniques for the artisans to produce for our second and then third annual sales booth in the prestigious Santa Fe International Folk Art Market in New Mexico. I stayed with local host families and was lucky enough to get to know the village and its inhabitants, whom I photographed. I hope you enjoy this small look at a very unique and out-of-the-way Peruvian artisan village.
