About the Book
Digital imaging, series of 12 images by Sara G. Umemoto all rights reserved 2009 - 2011.
Klimt is one of the most popular artists of world art from the twentieth century to now. The Saatchi Gallery online, ranks third among the crowd favorite painters. Of course it is one of the artists that I appreciate as well. In my internet searches, I was very surprised to see many artists, painters and photographers even now, are inspired by the art of Gustav Klimt. I have launched this book with my complete series of works inspired by the art of Klimt. A series of 12 works based on 12 different flowers and interpreted Klimt style. Each of these works was an experimental process, each image made with digital photography and digital painting. My tribute took the following reason metaphorically, to his immortality I offer flowers, a bunch of "exotic" flowers. Especially because Klimt associated the human body, with flora. The art of Klimt is best known as symbolist art. In addition, Klimt lived in a time when bourgeois society extolled the "exotic", Gustav Klimt was influenced by other styles of art from ancient cultures and one of them was the Japanese school 'Rimpa' style. I am very sure that if Klimt had had the opportunity to meet some oriental models, the order would pose for him.
