In Our Global Village: Boyle Heights, by the 2010 Senior class of Roosevelt High School, School of Law and Government, offers a quick overview of the Boyle Heights community of Los Angeles, the commonalities in the current experiences of the people who live here, and their colorful cultural contributions. One thing that emerges upon reading this book is the seniors’ appreciation for their community and its vibrant uniqueness.
