About the Book
To walk through the gates of Caramoor is to enter a world where music, art, and nature are cherished, cultivated, and shared with the community. Caramoor is the legacy of Walter and Lucie Rosen, who established the estate and built a great house as its centerpiece, filling it with treasures collected on their travels. Their legendary musical evenings were the seeds of the International Music Festival that is held annually on the estate. Today Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts is a world-renowned International Music Festival, a House Museum filled with art treasures, and 90 acres of beautiful park land, gardens, and pavilions. This book contains over 250 photos created by photographer Gabe Palacio in over three years of work at Caramoor.
