About the Book
Gerard M. Costa (1943–2024) was a commercial airline pilot during the golden age of aviation. He began capturing the world through 35mm slide photography in the 1970s and later embraced digital photography continuing his lifelong passion.
His work reflects the essence of his interests: colorful food stalls overflowing with fresh produce; planes, trains, and boats; the symmetry of architecture; the delicate beauty of flowers and plants through macro-photography; and of course the candid glimpses of people in everyday moments. Each image offers a window into his perspective, preserving a bygone era now steeped in nostalgia.
