About the Book
The photo book tells the story of a centuries-old craft that is thriving today. Adobe brickmaking is an integral part of Mexico's rich culture and architecture. Ramon (Charro) Pena and his family granted this photographer access to the land where bricks are handcrafted, as they have been for centuries. Although these Adobe bricks are not utilized in modern structures that typically require poured concrete or concrete blocks, they remain valued as durable and beautiful building materials and an essential aspect of Mexican culture.
