About the Book
Black and White Portraits of Wisconsin Deer Hunters. Photographed over a period of 4 years. Admittedly, I am an outsider. I do not hunt. As a professional photographer I prefer to shoot with my camera rather than a gun. But the appeal of hunting is not lost on me. Some people find hunting to be a kind of primal release and a way to escape the confines of modern life. But after spending many hours on this project, I found that deer hunting can also be an almost religious experience.
