About the Book
Joyce Middleton began cooking biscuits when she was twelve years old and has been cooking ever since. When beginning to cook, Joyce was told to “cook something until it was done”. So with little advice she taught herself to cook because she loves to eat good food and believes the only way to have good food is to make it yourself. She said her recipes are “good, plain, everyday cooking, there’s nothing fancy about it”. Her favorite dish is oyster stuffing, but she’s been told she should get a patent on her coleslaw. Joyce enjoys cooking if someone enjoys eating. I have enjoyed her cooking for over twenty years and I realized that when I live on my own I will not have easy access to home cooked meals, especially the delicious meals made by “Mommom”. I decided to ask the best chef I know for recipes so that I could make good food away from home. With this cookbook Joyce’s recipes will be around forever for generations to enjoy. I hope you find the pleasure she does when she cooks for others and bon appetit!
