Artist Anne Diggory describes the works in her exhibition "Near and Far." "The locations that inspired my work in the exhibition are both close by in the Adirondacks and across the ocean in southern France where I travelled for three weeks in spring 2022. The compositions that combine the close by with the far away are a celebration of the complexity of relationships seen and painted. Additionally, the act of painting itself creates a tension between the near-at-hand surface and the evocation of a magical world of space, light and energy." Included are images of some motifs and works in progress.
