About the Book
The poems of Stanley John James touch upon the everyday experiences that make up the stew of life. But rather than seeing these as fleeting moments, James uses these experiences as sources of inspiration. His poems are acts of contemplation, a way of making meaning of life's complexity. Quite often it is in nature that James finds solace. The economic hardship of life in the Rhondda Valley led James to emigrate to Canada where his interest in nature, deep ecology and the meaning of life converged.
This collection includes selected poems from 1973 - 2020 and records a life in and out of the valleys.
