About the Creator
I first picked up a camera in the mid-1980s, whilst visiting North America. I’m a self-taught photographer who has always enjoyed being creative. My photography explores the primal material of the Landscape, in both its natural beauty and man-made forms. For nearly 30 years, I used a combination of Canon film and digital technology to create my vision. In recent times however, health issues brought me to a point where amongst other things I nearly gave up Photography altogether. I won’t bore you with the whole story but there was a constant niggling question as to where my Photography was going as I tried to find a path through the responsibilities and stresses of everyday life. I gave away my Canon DSLRs, purchased a Fuji X-T10 and began taking walks in a local wood that I had known as a child. I fell in love with Photography again. My work has now taken a more personal path that you could well say is a woodland track. The solace found within the woodland has been a therapy for me.
