Oh! I do like to be beside the seaside-A Quirky View of Brighton

I started this project to simply document life at the seaside but it turned me into a narrative about enjoyment and diversity. As a Street Photographer my objective is to capture the decisive moment without being observed, from the impromptu Parkour artist stealing the musicians thunder to the ladies on the beach with their packs of cider, the traditional lovers and sunbathers but also those simply enjoying exercise.
Just promenading upon the Prom, Prom, Prom! may still demand religious attire for some but snoozing on the pier can be a stolen delight.

About the Creator
Glyn Powell-Evans
Guildford
My passions include my family, restoring our Manor House, new technology, gardens, early electric cars, Magic Lanterns and of course photography. I live near Guildford in Surrey, England. I try to remain vigilant with Free Floating attention: my mind drifts around my environment seeking opportunities. Most of my photos are created in the camera with adjustment generally limited to cropping and tonal balance. I try to follow the Arts and Crafts ethos of simplicity with truth. I like to think of myself as a Realist.
