About the Book
The work of Daniel James Parker explores the boundaries between the figurative and the abstract. These ambiguous paintings are informed by the landscape of South Wales but do not illustrate it. The elemental forces at play and the ever changing light provide starting points for exploration and experimentation through the process of painting. Daniel James Parker studied Foundation Art and Design at the University of South Wales in 2014 and Design for Performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2017. This fully illustrated book features work produced shortly before and just after a solo exhibition held in Cardiff in 2019.
