About the Book
Assignment work can be terribly boring. I've shot cans of soda, fake Greek columns on buildings, parking lots, you name it. If you are in the photography business, you shoot what you have to to make ends meet. But some assignments are particularly enjoyable - maybe because of the subject, or the location, or for no other reason than it turned out to be more fun than I imagined it would.
This book is a compilation of five assignments, some shot over a day or two, some over a period of years, that I have especially enjoyed. Each of the five assignments are different in location, subject, and nature, but each showcases some of my favorite assignment work.
There are plenty of other assignments I have enjoyed that did not make it into this book - some because they resulted in only one or two interesting images, others because contractual responsibilities prevent me from sharing them. However, the five that are included here are representative of many of the types of work I do.
