It hasn’t rained a drop in the Pokot region of Northwestern Kenya since 2007. The people are starving due to lack of food and water. Diseases are spreading and people are starting to die.
Two months before my visit to the area the
UN World Food Programme apparently pulled out of the area, leaving 225.000 people without food or any other kind of aid.
