About the Book
We have made questionable choices regarding energy consumption for the last 100 years. We have contributed to climate change, and now climate change is impacting our lives! In the recent years, we have experienced major droughts due to lack of rain, change of the Earth’s temperature, and rising sea levels. Thus, there are over 40,000 endangered species and climate change is a big reason why this is happening.
As young scientist, 6th grade students from High Tech Middle North County and High Tech Middle Chula Vista were determined to bring awarness to climate change and its impact on endangered species. Students researched endangered species to help find contributing factors to their endangerment, and created watercolor images to make the public aware.
Our hope is that we continue to work together to save these species. Some are at the brink of extinction, and we need to consider how we live our daily lives.
We are so proud of our students for their hard work, commitment, and dedication to help save our environment and wildlife.
