About the Book
In September of 1967, Western Michigan University graduate Paul Tregembo was hired Mr. LB Williams to take the helm of a blooming auto shop program at Roseville High School in Detroit. Little did Tregembo know that by taking control of the Roseville High School Auto Shop, he was beginning a nearly half a century-long journey that would take the program from obscurity to prominence.
Since 1967, RHS had made a name for itself across various spectrums of the automotive world. They won a 1976 Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) Track Championship, along with capturing a 2010 International Show Car Association (ISCA) Class Championship. More recently, RHS has continued its success in building both a 2014 America’s Most Beautiful Roadster (AMBR) Award Contender, and a 2015 Great American Racing Series (GARS) professional stock car.
In forty nine years, Tregembo and RHS have set the standard for all automotive technology programs to follow, and while doing so, have inspired hundreds of students to follow their dreams.
Now for the first time, experience the story of the Roseville High School Auto Shop program in this extensive, 210 page book, containing over 1,500 photos and multiple first account retellings of the program’s greatest moments. Read the stories behind each accomplishment, and you’ll understand why RHS has come to be known as “Hot Rod High”.

Though he is studying hard to receive his Associates Degree in Applied Sciences for "Media Communication and Design-Digital" next year, Joseph remains an aspiring author, but will turn his attention from biographical to realistic fiction in the near future.
