About the Book
This book features photos of trucks taken in the 1950s thru 1970s by well-known truck photographer Robert Ward. 1950s and 1960s photos dominate the book with some from the 1970s. The book is mostly black and white with some color photos of a wide variety of trucks. The trucking industry is a constantly changing arena, and when trucking history is gone, it's gone forever. Many thanks to Robert for his efforts at photographing trucks over the years, without photos like these we would not have any history of trucking. This is a great photo collection of vintage trucks.

My husband, Dave drove truck in the U.S. for 40 years with over 3-million safe miles. He started taking photos of trucks as a young boy in the 1950s, inspired by his mother who took photos of his dad's trucks beginning in the late 1940s. He passed away in 2019. His wife survives.
